in response to recent requests, the Police were out doing some speed enforcement across the Kirkburton ward.
They were;
- In Kirkburton (on Red Hill, near Health Centre) and issued 1 ticket for speeding,
- In Shepley (near Cliffe House) and issued 3 tickets for speeding,
- On Huddersfield Road near Shelley College and issued 2 tickets for speeding,
- In Birdsedge (near the school) and issued 2 tickets for speeding and,
- In Grange Moor on Liley Lane and issued 2 tickets for speeding.
Speaking on the enforcement, Cllr Taylor said
Whilst issuing tickets for speeding is great, actual no speeding would be even better and this is something which I am strongly campaigning on.
