Having received multiple complaints from local residents, Cllr Tim Bamford has asked Kirklees to repaint the 30mph road markings on Cumberworth Road in Skelmanthorpe.
These have worn out over time resulting in cars speeding into the village.
Speaking about this case, Cllr Bamford said
Hopefully this will will help to slow cars down. Local residents often complain about speeding and dangerous driving and we have to do all we can to keep road users safe.
I will continue to push Kirklees to make sure that road and street signage is of the highest quality and visability.
