Heckmondwike Ward Candidate, Itrat Ali has been nominated for a community award in the Asian Express.
The Asian Express is the UK's largest circulated and online free newspaper, dedicated to reporting news from Asian communities.
Speaking about her nomination, Itrat said;
It was an honour to be recognised as a finalist in the most inspirational Asians for Kirklees. I was grateful to everyone that nominated and voted for me locally.
It was great to have my work within the local community recognised and also to share a platform with many diverse members of the community, such as business politics media and charity sector.
