I’m Joshua, Chairman for the Batley & Spen Young Conservatives. I joined the party in August 2019, and since then, I have been involved with a variety of events. I helped to establish the young Conservatives within Batley & Spen in January 2020.

Windmill Lane is a narrow traffic-clogged street during school hours. Residents and bus services are finding it increasingly difficult to drive along the street and it is becoming a great risk to the safety of schoolchildren. So, councillors in Birstall & Birkenshaw are taking action. Fresh yellow lines being painted, plans for new traffic regulations, greater traffic enforcement and a crossing patrol all form part of our plan to make sure we tackle this issue and keep our children safe travelling to school.
